As we are a care home for adults with learning disabilities - we are erring on the side of caution and monitoring our admissions- this is way PRE-BOOK is ESSENTIAL.
We encourage you to wear a mask if at all possible, especially in indoor spaces. Please be kind to each other as everyone may feel very differently about the current infection rates.
We are offering hot food and drink takeaway services across our catering outlets. Take your burger to eat at any of our picnic areas across the site. Our Benson Barn and marquee provide undercover picnic areas for you to dine on an inclement day.
Our Gift shop continues with a safe outdoor staffed vending option. We won't be opening the indoor shop area just yet.
Please bear with us as the safety of our staff, residents and public comes first.
We are primarily a charity for adults with learning disabilities - the Canterbury Oast Trust.
SUMMER
There is so much to do on our 100 acres:
*Explore the farm - from Lady Rhona the Shire Horse to Guinea Pigs, Owls, Pigs, Goats and Donkeys we have so many animals down on the Farm.
*Meet the Animals - Meet our friendly animals, say hi and give our animals a stroke in our supervised Childrens Barn's - though we know everyone loves to give our rabbits, guinea pigs, piglets and goats a good scratch behind the ears and stroke.
*Outdoor play parks - Zip Wires, Adventure Playgrounds, Swings and Tyre Snake to climb on.
*Mysterious Marsh - come hide out in the woods and challenge your dexterity.
*Giants Chairs - come have a picnic on our oversized seats made by Farmer Davy himself!
*Falconry training to watch and Falconry Displays daily at 2.30pm
*Brass rubbing trails through the woods
*Den building - have a rest in our picnic area near the Secret Lake while the kids get creative.
*Woodland walks with seasonal wildflowers to spot
*New Takeaway throughout the site
Indoor soft play will reopen soon - look out on social media for updates.
Don't forget to bring your wellies and mac if it is raining, your sun hats and sun creams if it is bright and your coat if it is windy!
Unfortunately we do not allow dogs on-site as they scare our animals. Please leave your pooches at home when you visit. Thank you.
Please note that we are a no smoking site - smoking is not permitted anywhere on the farm, including the front entrance and car park. Thank you for your cooperation.
