Tiny Tim

Species: Giant African Millipede

Tiny Tim

They have rounded heads and two legs per body segment; they can grow from 11 to over 100 segments. They feed on decomposing vegetation and organic matter in the soil. When threatened, they curl up into a tight coil to protect its legs with its hard exoskeleton. Tiny Tim is a baby and spends most of his time under the surface of the compost, so he is hard to spot.
