The Green Iguana is arboreal; it lives near water and is an excellent swimmer.  Quite a large lizard, it can reach lengths of 2m and weights of 9kg.  It can detach its tail if needed to aid escape from predators and will grow a new tail.  There is a third ‘eye’ on top of the head which is sensitive to changes in light and dark, aiding movement detection.
