Horace and Rolo are our Eurasian Eagle Owls. Rolo was our first owl hatched here at the RBC in 2008, and was hand reared by our falconer.

The Eurasian Eagle Owl can be found in mountain ranges and forests across Europe and Asia. They are large owls with females reaching a wingspan of six feet three inches. They hunt small mammals such as mountain hare, rabbits and squirrels, and occasionally birds. 

Horace has been trained for flying displays and bird of prey experiences.
