Gatsby is our American Kestrel. The American Kestrel is the smallest and most common falcon in North America and also much smaller than our native kestrel.

They have distinctive black and white bands on the face and colourful plumage.

They hover while searching for prey such as grasshoppers, lizards, mice and small birds.
