New to the farm in 2024, Border Leicesters were originally from Northumberland. These large sheep are known for being good mothers, and have friendly and docile personalities. They have distinctive rabbit-like upright ears and a roman nose, making them very distinctive and popular for showing. Wool from this breed is highly prized by spinners due to its natural lustre and ability to take dye well.
