🎃 New for Halloween 2023! 🎃

As part of our lineup of fun activities (at no additional cost) for this year's Halloween celebrations, we're launching a new Scarecrow Competition! All entries will be on display at the farm for visitors to enjoy and vote for!

So, put your creative skills to the test and bring your scarecrow creations to the farm to enter, like our Life Skills students in the photo below! Can you spot the Farmer Davy scarecrow?

The creator(s) of the winning entry will receive one £75 voucher to spend in our Granary Restaurant, plus one £25 voucher to spend in our gift shop!

• Scarecrows can be entered into the competition at the Rare Breeds Centre from October 21st to 29th, 2023.
• The competition is open to EVERYONE – including our farm visitors, annual members, volunteers, supported people and staff.
• Bring your scarecrow to our gift shop to get checked in.
• ONE winner will be announced on HALLOWEEN DAY, October 31st on social media and our website.

VOTING

• Voting at the farm will take place every day from October 21st to the 29th.
• Voting online will take place on our Facebook page and Instagram page for 24 hours only:
  • Facebook and Instagram voting opens at 7pm on October 29th and closes at 7 pm on October 30th.
  • Only one online vote will be counted per person per social media platform. The winners have been announced!
• Voting is allowed on our social media by anyone, even those who have already voted in person on the farm.
• People can also vote for their own scarecrow when they enter it into the competition.
• Entrants can encourage their friends and family to vote for them online and at the farm.
