Wilf

Breed: Berkshire

Wilf

The Berkshire sow is a productive, placid pig that is a heavy-milker and will lose little weight whilst rearing her litter.

Berkshire pigs were originally tawny red with black spots and had long thick bodies and short legs.

However, improvements to the breed meant that they became lighter in the head and ears, shorter, and are now primarily black in colour.
