Lambing Tunnel

South of England Rare Breeds Centre

Lambing and Growing Tunnel

The tunnel is dual purpose and changes according to the season.

February to May

The poly tunnel is home to our Rare Breed Ewes and their Lambs, (Lambing fortnight 31st March 15th April 07). As you walk through the tunnel you can read all about the different breeds of Sheep who live on the farm and meet their lambs.

Some lucky visitors may even get the chance to see sheep lambing and sometimes staff need help to feed the 'sock' lambs.

Feel free to ask the staff any questions, some one is always close at hand especially at Lambing time.

June-September

The poly tunnel is used as a growing tunnel, here you will be able to look, touch and taste the vegetables which have been grown, Notice how things inside the tunnel grow compared with the Discovery Garden.

October January

The Poly Tunnel is used for Halloween and Christmas Events
