Interpretation Lodge

Learn more about the countryside and the environment and how you can do your bit to preserve it, the Lodge was hand built  by one man (with a little help from his Dad) using timber which has been cut from local woods, with the exception of the concrete base and a few nails only natural materials have been used to create the lodge.

The main timber used in this construction is Sweet Chestnut and Ash, both are fast growing and if you know how are easy to split into long lengths, these can then be used in many ways take a closer look at the lodge to see all the wonderful ways the wood has been used.
